Description

Christmas Rolo Pretzel Crunch Clusters are a delightful festive treat combining salty, sweet, and crunchy textures. Mini pretzels topped with melting Rolo candies and festive toppings like pecan halves, candy buttons, and sprinkles create perfect bite-sized goodies for holiday celebrations. Simple to make and irresistibly delicious, these clusters are perfect for holiday parties or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 60 waffle-style mini pretzel twists
  • 60 Rolo candies, unwrapped
  • 30 pecan halves
  • ½ cup red & green candy buttons or M&M’s
  • ¼ cup Christmas nonpareils or sprinkles
  • Optional: extra milk chocolate melts or Hershey Kisses
  • Optional: flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) to prepare for melting the Rolo candies gently.
  2. Prepare baking sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
  3. Arrange pretzels: Spread out the wafer-style mini pretzels evenly on the lined baking sheet, giving each some space.
  4. Add Rolo candies: Place one unwrapped Rolo candy in the center of each pretzel.
  5. Melt the Rolos: Bake in the preheated oven for 3–4 minutes until the Rolos become glossy and soft, but still retain their dome shape.
  6. Add toppings: While the Rolos are warm and soft, gently press one topping onto each candy—choose from pecan halves, candy buttons, extra chocolate melts with sprinkles, or Christmas nonpareils.
  7. Optional sea salt: Sprinkle a tiny pinch of flaky sea salt on selected clusters to enhance the sweet and salty flavor contrast.
  8. Cool and set: Allow the clusters to cool at room temperature or refrigerate them for 10–15 minutes until firm and set.

Notes

  • Be careful not to overheat the Rolos so they soften but keep their shape for the best presentation.
  • Use parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticky messes.
  • Customize toppings to suit your flavor preferences or holiday theme.
  • Refrigerating speeds up the firming process but is not required.
  • These clusters are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for several days.
