Description

Refreshing and vibrant Dragon Fruit Lemonade made with frozen dragon fruit, fresh lemon juice, mango, and a touch of honey, blended to a frothy perfection and chilled for a cool, tropical twist on a classic summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Liquid Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup honey

Fruit

  • 1 cup frozen dragon fruit
  • 1/2 cup chopped mango
  • 2 lemons worth of zest

Seasoning

  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt or Celtic sea salt

Instructions

  1. Blend the ingredients: Add all ingredients into a high-powered blender, placing the honey last to prevent it from sticking to the bottom. Start blending on low speed for 30 seconds.
  2. Increase blending speed: After initial blending, increase the speed to medium-high and blend for another 1 minute and 30 seconds until the lemonade becomes frothy and well combined.
  3. Strain the mixture: Place a nut milk bag or fine mesh sieve over a large pitcher or bowl with a spout. Pour the blended lemonade into it, then gently squeeze or press to strain out the pulp and achieve a smooth liquid.
  4. Chill and serve: Transfer the strained lemonade into a glass bottle or jar and refrigerate for 1-2 hours until cold. Alternatively, serve immediately over ice for a refreshing drink.

Notes

  • You can substitute honey with agave syrup or maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • Using frozen dragon fruit helps create a chilled drink without needing to add ice that can dilute the flavor.
  • If you prefer a pulpy lemonade, skip the straining step.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey according to taste.
  • The zest of lemons adds an aromatic brightness, so don’t skip it!
