- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey (optional, for balance)
For Assembly:
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
For Serving:
- Sweet chili sauce, honey, or ranch dressing
Instructions
Prepare the Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine goat cheese, chopped jalapeños, mozzarella (or cheddar), garlic powder, black pepper, and honey (if using).
- Mix well until smooth and evenly combined.
Assemble the Egg Rolls:
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a corner facing you (diamond shape).
- Place 1-2 tablespoons of the filling in the center.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides.
- Brush the top corner with beaten egg and roll tightly to seal. Repeat for all wrappers.
Fry the Egg Rolls:
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat (about 350°F/175°C).
- Fry the egg rolls in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
