Instructions
- Preheat and prepare the chicken. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F. Place your chicken in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan and pat it dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure crisp skin.
- Make and apply the garlic herb honey butter. In a bowl, whip together the softened butter, honey, lemon pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and kosher salt. Rub this flavorful mixture evenly over the entire chicken, covering all surfaces.
- Initial high-temperature roasting. Roast the chicken uncovered at 450 degrees F for 10 minutes. This step helps start browning and crisping the skin.
- Lower heat and continue roasting. Reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees F.
