Instructions
Bake the Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare and bake the chocolate cake according to the package instructions.
- Let it cool for about 10 minutes.
Poke the Cake:
- Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the warm cake.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, letting it soak into the holes.
Make the Coconut-Pecan Frosting:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Stir in evaporated milk, sugar, and egg yolks. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened (about 8-10 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, coconut, and pecans. Let cool slightly.
Spread the Frosting:
- Evenly spread the coconut-pecan frosting over the cake.
Make the Chocolate Ganache:
