    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
    • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)

    For the Mongolian Sauce:

    • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
    • ¼ cup beef broth (or water)
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
    • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (mixed with 2 tablespoons water)

    For Garnish:

    • 3 green onions, sliced
    • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles:

    • Boil the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Beef:

    • In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
    • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
    • Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Prepare the Sauce:

    • Stir in garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Add soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well.
    • Mix in the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch + water) and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine Everything:

    • Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss with the beef and sauce until well coated.
    • Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve & Garnish:

    • Remove from heat and top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
    • Serve hot and enjoy!
