Ingredients
Scale
Fruit and Juice
- 4 ripe peaches, pitted and roughly chopped
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 6-8 lemons)
Liquids and Sweeteners
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
Other
- 4 cups ice cubes
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
- Peach slices, for garnish (optional)
- Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Peaches: Place the roughly chopped ripe peaches into your blender to start the base of your slushie.
- Add Lemon Juice: Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice from 6-8 lemons over the peaches in the blender for a bright, citrusy flavor.
- Add Water and Sugar: Add 1 cup of water and ½ cup of granulated sugar to the blender. Adjust the sugar amount to your preferred sweetness level.
- Blend Mixture: Blend the peaches, lemon juice, water, and sugar until smooth, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides to incorporate all ingredients evenly.
- Check Sweetness: Taste the mixture and add more sugar if needed, then blend briefly to combine.
- Strain Mixture (Optional): For a smoother slushie without peach pulp or skin, strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth. Press the solids to extract maximum liquid, then discard the solids.
- Return to Blender: Pour the strained or unstrained peach lemonade base back into the blender to prepare for ice.
- Add Ice Cubes: Add 4 cups of ice cubes into the blender with the peach lemonade base.
- Blend to Slushy Consistency: Blend on high speed until the mixture reaches a smooth, slushy texture. Pause to scrape down the sides if necessary to ensure even blending.
- Adjust Consistency: If the slushie is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time and blend again. If it is too thin, add extra ice cubes and blend until desired thickness is achieved.
- Final Taste Adjustment: Taste the slushie and adjust the flavor with additional lemon juice or sugar if needed, then blend briefly to mix.
- Serve: Pour the slushie into glasses or mason jars ready to be enjoyed.
- Garnish: Garnish each glass with lemon slices, peach slices, and fresh mint sprigs for a beautiful and aromatic touch.
- Enjoy Immediately: Serve the Peach Lemonade Slushie immediately to enjoy its refreshing icy texture and flavors at their best.
